Responsibilities
Interns will perform analysis on flight hardware, assist in the design and development of future systems, and support mission integration and launch operations. They will also participate in data analysis, trade studies, and process improvement projects under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Requirements
Candidates must have completed their sophomore year of college and be pursuing a STEM degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR regulations and be available for a 10-week full-time internship in Summer 2027.

Job Overview & Responsibilities
As an Aerospace Engineering Intern at United Launch Alliance, you'll gain hands-on experience and will have the opportunity to:
Perform the following, but not limited to analysis on existing flight hardware, assist in the design and development of future hardware, perform analysis for both completed and future launches, test, systems engineering, mission integration, quality assurance, system safety, launch operations and production operations.
Perform the following, but not limited to data analysis, analysis methodology improvement projects, software improvement projects, trade studies, design for manufacturer studies, create or modify tool designs, process cause and corrective actions for non-conformances, maintain production work instructions, supplier management, and component or integrated systems test.
Support one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering.
Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns!
Required Education
At minimum completed Sophomore year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.
High School/GED
Basic Qualifications
Must have a minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding. NOTE: An unofficial transcript is required if you are invited for an interview. We recommend you upload it to your profile when you apply.
Must have a valid driver’s license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended.
Role Specific Qualifications
At minimum, actively pursuing a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university.
Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2027.
Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the Summer of 2027.
Working knowledge of basic engineering application tools like:
MATLAB
LabVIEW
Mathcad
NX
Creo or CFD Software
Other design and analysis tools
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

Summary Salary Range:
CO: $23.10 - $37.95
CA: $24.20 - $37.95
Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
