The vascular technologist is responsible for performing high-quality non-invasive diagnostic vascular examinations and maintaining ultrasound equipment. They must also provide accurate medical descriptions and preliminary interpretations for physician review.
Candidates must be certified by the ARDMS or ARRT and hold a CPR certification. A minimum of two years of vascular-related experience is preferred, along with graduation from an accredited vascular technology program.

Responsible for daily operations of the vascular laboratory with duties including but not limited to performing high quality diagnostic non-invasive vascular examinations involving disorders affecting the vascular systems, providing accurate medical descriptions and preliminary interpretations (verbal and written) for physician review and operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
· Certified by:
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers ARDMS (RVT),
OR
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography ARRT (VS).
OR
· All sonographers must obtain certification within twelve months of eligibility or cross training.
· Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment
Sonographers must be in compliance with the ARDMS, ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to their practices
