Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI imaging by selecting proper technical factors based on patient diagnosis and physical characteristics. Educate patients on procedures and obtain accurate medical histories to ensure informed treatment decisions.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be registered by the ARRT or eligible to pass within one year. Current CPR certification and state licensure or ARDMS/NMTCB certification are required.
MRI Technologists make a significant difference in a patient’s care. Delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging allows providers to make informed decisions regarding patient treatment and management.
In this role, you will select proper technical factors based on procedure, diagnosis, age, size, weight and anatomical differences and general health status of patients. You must demonstrate the knowledge to identify educational needs, obtain a patient’s history, and use easily understood terminology for explaining procedures and care to patients.
