OVERVIEW
The Madewell Marketing team is made up of strategic, creative thinkers dedicated to building full-funnel marketing plans that fuel brand growth and customer love.
We’re looking for a passionate and highly motivated marketing professional to lead brand partnerships, collaborations, and events that bring Madewell’s values to life and position the brand as a cultural leader.
This role will own the strategy for partnerships and events including high-impact, cross-functional brand initiatives—from strategic collaborations to purpose-driven programs and partnership-led campaigns.
You’ll be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing partnerships that span product, cultural moments, and content—ensuring each effort ladders up to overarching brand and business goals.
The ideal candidate has strong brand relationships, project management skills, a curiosity for what’s next in culture and retail, and a passion for leading integrated work across departments. This role reports to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing and sits within the Brand Marketing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shape and present partnership opportunities, relationships, and event concepts in a compelling, strategic way—translating ideas into clear, sellable narratives that resonate internally and externally.
Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of brand partnerships, collaborations, and events—from concept through launch and post-event recap.
Identify and secure strategic partners aligned with Madewell’s positioning across fashion, culture, and community, with a focus on creating meaningful, culturally relevant moments and experiences.
Own the partnerships and events calendar, identifying opportunities tied to brand priorities, seasonal moments, and cultural trends.
Conceptualize and execute events and activations that bring partnerships to life—ensuring thoughtful guest experience, strong brand storytelling, and alignment across all touchpoints.
Drive seamless cross-functional execution by managing workflows across creative, PR, merchandising, design, operations, legal, and digital—ensuring timelines, deliverables, and approvals stay on track.
Lead go-to-market strategy for each partnership and event, ensuring cohesive amplification across owned, earned, and paid channels.
Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, vendors, collaborators, and agencies—managing relationships and execution from kickoff through event day.
Oversee budgets, contracts, and on-site logistics, ensuring efficient use of resources and high-quality execution.
Develop recaps and reporting for partnerships and events, tracking performance and distilling insights to inform future strategy.
Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in brand marketing, partnerships, collaborations, or PR—preferably within fashion, lifestyle, or culture-driven industries
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience leading brand partnerships and integrated campaigns
Excellent communication and cross-functional project management skills
Strategic thinker and creative collaborator who can drive alignment across diverse teams
Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
Deep curiosity about emerging cultural trends, brands, and collaborators
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate campaign results into actionable insights
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills
Proficient in Keynote, Google Suite, AirTable, and project management tools.
We welcome you to apply, even if you don't check all the boxes. Our passion is scouting life-long learners who are driven by curiosity, and who feel connected to our brands and share our desire to make an impact. We’re always seeking bright new talent who leverage their unique experiences to discover, grow and evolve with our teams.
