Full job description
Fanatics Commerce is the global leader in licensed sports merchandise, operating a vertically integrated platform that designs, manufactures, and delivers officially licensed apparel, jerseys, headwear, and collectibles for major leagues, teams, and events worldwide. With more than 900 e-commerce sites and a global omnichannel presence across digital, in-venue, and retail, Fanatics Commerce reaches fans in over 180 countries and powers official fan experiences for many of the world's most iconic sports properties.
At Fanatics, we bring our BOLD Leadership Principles to life every day - building championship teams, obsessing over fans, acting with entrepreneurial speed, and delivering with a determined and relentless mindset.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Merchandise Admin serves as a critical connection point between internal teams and vendor partners, managing item setup, data accuracy, and day-to-day operational support across multiple leagues and categories. This role combines administrative precision with a customer-service mindset, ensuring vendors are supported and fans receive an exceptional product experience. The Merchandise Admin delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.
HOW WILL YOU DRIVE IMPACT
Success is measured by the ability to deliver results through BOLD capabilities and measurable outcomes.
Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)
Partner closely with the buying team on data entry projects including new product creation, PO creation, and order delivery tracking to keep cross-functional workflows on track.
Lead communication with traffic and operations partners to coordinate timely product delivery and receipt, acting as a reliable connector across teams.
Support the Merch Process Manager on special projects and operational improvement initiatives, contributing to a high-performing merchandising organization.
Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)
Maintain accurate, up-to-date product data — including UPCs, site descriptions, costs, and item attributes — so fans encounter correct, compelling product information at every touchpoint.
Apply a customer-service approach to vendor relationships, communicating clearly and resolving issues quickly to keep the product pipeline moving.
Execute monthly data clean-up tied to exception reports, ensuring the integrity of product records that directly shape the fan shopping experience.
Contribute to operational improvements that enhance both the vendor experience and the end-to-end fan journey.
Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit)
Identify and flag data inconsistencies proactively, proposing solutions rather than waiting for issues to escalate.
Leverage merchandising systems and ERP tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP, PLM) to streamline product lifecycle processes and reduce manual effort.
Support process improvement projects led by the Merch Process Manager, bringing fresh perspective and operational curiosity to how the team works.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities across multiple leagues and categories, finding efficient paths through complexity.
Take full ownership of assigned data entry and product management tasks, meeting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced digital retail environment without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
Hold yourself accountable to data standards and operational SLAs that keep the buying team and vendor partners aligned.
Demonstrate reliability and follow-through in every interaction — with vendors, cross-functional partners, and internal stakeholders.
AI & DIGITAL CAPABILITY
We are building a future-ready organization. This role is expected to:
Apply AI and technology to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes
Use data and digital tools to inform decisions and enhance performance
Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in adopting new technologies and ways of working
Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING
Required Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience in merchandising, eCommerce, retail operations, or administrative support roles.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and a consistent focus on data accuracy across product management tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and demonstrated comfort working with product management or ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or PLM tools.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with a solution-oriented, service-first approach to vendor support.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability for day-to-day execution.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field preferred but not required.
