Quality Control Inspector – Fabrication and Rubber Lining

What you’ll do •Inspection & Quality Control:Perform receiving inspections of raw materials and fabrications from suppliers and subcontractors, including physical goods and quality documents, ensuring acceptance, rejection, or correction as required. Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated steel and rubber-lined products to verify compliance with drawings, internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable codes. •Documentation & Reporting:Document inspection results by completing reports, signoffs, and logs. Build quality document packages for customer submission and review quality documents for subcontracted fabrications. Generate nonconformance reports as needed. •Technical Expertise:Read and interpret technical drawings and regulatory and customer specifications. Apply knowledge of MTRs, NDE, welding codes, and rubber lining specifications. •Safety First:Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
What you’ll bring Must-haves: • Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical-related field or 5 years of quality control experience in metal fabrications • Minimum 3 years of experience inspecting fabricated steel and/or rubber-lined products • CSA W178.2 Level II Weld Inspector certification
CGSB Level 2 MPI/LPI certification or eligibility for certification
Nice-to-haves: • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment • AMPP CIP (NACE) level 1 or 2 certification • First Aid certification and confined space entry training • Experience with SAP and intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat)
