The Quality Engineer manages supplier performance, conducts internal audits, and oversees corrective actions to ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards. They are responsible for validating product conformity and investigating quality escapes or safety issues.
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least five years of quality assurance experience in aerospace manufacturing or maintenance. Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9100, and FAA regulations is essential.
The Quality Engineer is responsible for reviewing and addressing supplier performance, initiating continual improvements, and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and quality standards. Initiating and overseeing continual improvement events and corrective actions. The Quality Engineer must have experience and working knowledge with ISO 9001, AS 9100/9110/9120, FAA 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 65, 145 and EASA, as well as US Department of Defense regulations (FARs, DLADs, DFARs, etc.).

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $76,000 to $85,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a bonus. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
