This role will manage the Malaysia-based IT Operations Center (ITOC) while providing regional leadership and oversight for Global Infrastructure Services teams, the Service Desk function. You will ensure operational excellence, driving issue resolution, coordinating projects, developing team capabilities through coaching and training, and overseeing shift operations. You will serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders and senior management, escalating critical issues and fostering effective collaboration across onsite and remote teams to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
Monitors and supports IT infrastructure, including both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves security, system, platform, network, and infrastructure alerts, including those related to performance, availability, and capacity.
Investigate incidents using monitoring tools, accurately diagnose issues, and resolve or escalate to the appropriate teams when necessary.
Identify trends in system, network, and security alerts, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that results in the development of an original concept for process changes or a documentation model that constitutes a new intellectual contribution.
Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to resolve operational and security-related issues
Support and mentor junior analysts.
Leads low to medium complexity operational projects and coordinates activities with next-tier teams. Contributes to projects of low to high complexity and performs infrastructure changes according to the given design. Authors new concepts, designs changes and provides own solutions for projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
We require 7 or more years of experience in IT, with a preference for IT Infrastructure.
We require a basic understanding of network and systems administration. Desired knowledge on following areas: Networking, Cloud, Systems Administration, Service Management, Cybersecurity, Software Development, End-user Support.
Desired experience with: vCenter, Solarwinds Orion, PRTG, ITSM, Routing/Switching, Cisco, Meraki, Palo-Alto, CrowdStrike, Catalyst Center, Azure, AWS, and Alibaba.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
We require people management skills.
Desired certs and degrees on areas: Networking, Cloud, Systems Administration, Service Management, Cybersecurity, Software Development. Certs examples: CCNA, MCSA, CCISP, CISM, ITIL, and CompTIA.
