We are actively pursuing project opportunities in solar energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), wind energy, as well as hybrid fossil fuel generation, hydrogen, and ammonia projects. As we continue to grow and adapt, we are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our team for the upcomingprojects.
ABOUT THE ROLE Site-based FIFO/DIDO role for our projects based in SA/QLD.
The Civil Supervisor handles the frontline work management, personnel management, and supervision of civil works. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality project services to the client and supplying supervision and coordination as needed.
You will perform the responsibilities:
Coordination and supervision of daily construction activities, including but not limited to
to Civil works, including earthworks, footing systems, drainage, cable accommodation systems, roadworks, fencing, gravel surfacing, etc.
Construction Testing
Specific site construction activities, including demolition works, working at heights, working in confined spaces and working in proximity exposed live parts.
Monitor and manage UGL employees and subcontractors to ensure professional standards are supported.
Co-ordinate resources to fulfill project plan and outage requirements.
Ensure full QA and HSSE documentation and systems are properly followed, ensuring Projects have adequate coverage and support.
Ensure procurement is approached centrally wherever possible to maximize gains/minimize unnecessary spend
Your skills and experience:
Recent experience in a civil construction or mining environment.
Experience in bulk earthworks and construction is essential.
Experience working in an EPCM environment.
A team player who can work autonomously and be trusted to deliver.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to supervise and manage various work crews simultaneously.
Ability to deliver clear instructions and motivate the team.
A safety-focused mindset.

UGL Regional Linx was established in 2021, after parent company, UGL Limited was selected to deliver operations and maintenance of rail infrastructure for the Country Regional Network (CRN). This network ensures the safe movement of people and goods throughout the regions of NSW, and links Sydney with many important regional centres.
UGL Regional Linx commenced operations on January 30 2022 and works on behalf of the client, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and will be responsible for managing an important network of assets. As part of its operation, UGL Regional Linx’s scope of work includes:
• Network operations
• Rail infrastructure maintenance and implementation of a new train control system - UGL’s proprietary system, Sigview.
• Asset and property management, and
• Safety, access, performance, and environmental management.
UGL Regional Linx has made a strong commitment to local and indigenous employment, further strengthening the organisation’s commitment to regional NSW. As part of its operations, UGL Regional Linx established its head office and Network Control Centre in the heart of the Central West, Orange, NSW.
The CRN network includes:
• 2,386 route kilometres of operational passenger and freight rail lines, including 996 km of branch line track used predominantly for haulage of grain, with lower mass and speed limits than other parts of the network
• 3,139 route kilometres of non-operational lines
• 27,000 hectares of land and infrastructure
• 1,312 level crossings (300 active)
• 1,200 property assets (including 356 heritage sites)
• 600 rail under bridges and 384 road overbridges
The CRN is a crucial piece of infrastructure to regional NSW and UGL Regional Linx is committed to ensure that it delivers for all customers, from rail passengers to farmers and industry.
