Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Procurement Temp will provide short-term support to advance Macy’s strategic procurement priorities, with a focus on executing defined sourcing initiatives, supporting procurement processes, and delivering near-term cost and operational efficiencies. This role will support core category management activities, including supplier and sourcing strategy, business partnering, and supplier relationship management, while working closely with cross-functional teams to drive progress against immediate business needs and support a smooth transition of work where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will bring the readiness and experience needed make immediate impact in a short-term engagement, with the ability to quickly assess priorities, move work forward, and operate effectively with minimal oversight. This individual should be comfortable navigating a large, complex organization with multiple stakeholders and bring hands-on experience across end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities, including stakeholder alignment, sourcing strategy, supplier engagement, negotiations, and execution support.

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Expertise: Skilled in developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives in Corporate Services categories, to optimize procurement processes and drive cost savings.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Adept at building and managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business goals.
Analytical & Financial Acumen: Proficient in analyzing procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, with a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and cost optimization strategies.
Communication & Presentation Skills: Experience and strength in communicating procurement strategies and insights effectively to senior leadership, facilitate meetings, and prepare reports that highlight key metrics and achievements.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in procurement software and tools used for supplier management, contract negotiation, and data analysis.
