Maintains responsibility for management of materials availability to support build plans throughout the product life cycle for a specific business unit or customer set.
Leads efforts to reduce material cost and assess/respond to supply risks.
Manages the development of delivery requirements (OTD), material plans and short-range capacity plans to meet production schedules and inventory objectives.
Leads the teams that are responsible for customer interface from SCM including relationship management and as focal point for all SCM related issues.
Responsible for ownership of Site Inventory results working with site GM’s, SSCM managers and customer VP/GMs.
Participates in process improvements to help achieve inventory targets and maximize return on investment in alignment with the Global Planning Corporate team.
Responsible for ensuring Celestica is compliant with internal and external audits in alignment with procedures and policies.
Directly manages a group of SCM employees including employee training, performance, measurement, development, motivation and recognition.
Responsible for leading and monitoring Planning & Inventory Metrics and KRIs.
Establishes department goals/ measurements and manages resources to achieve these goals.
Responsible to ensure the overall SIOP process is followed according to the Procedure (Including Demand Management, MPS Analysis, Production Schedule, etc)
Responsible for effectively managing E & O Inventory (including FIA, Customer Contracts and understanding Customer Collaboration).
Responsible for meeting Inventory Entitlement according to the Quotes for each of their customers in the site.
Responsible for maintaining the correct Planning Parameters.
Responsible for driving Inventory Investments as needed.
Responsible for ensuring correct SS and ROP are set up to optimize Inventory Management.
Responsible for ensuring Revenue and Inventory projections are met.
Responsible to drive Flexibility Programs with Suppliers
Leads continuous improvements of SCM function through interactions with other departments.
Responsible for annual physical inventory, site surplus/excess sale process and disposition of scrap material.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of global supply chain management, distribution methods, and global transportation services and inventory management.
Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications.
Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight deadlines.
Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
