Position Purpose:

The National Accounts Sales Specialist - THD is responsible for overseeing national-level operations with The Home Depot, ensuring streamlined processes and effective communication. This role includes setting up new markets, maintaining pricing, and providing training for local territory managers and order coordinators, ensuring they are proficient in handling The Home Depot orders. Additionally, the position involves managing accounts receivable, assisting with large job quotes, handling SPS Commerce PO updates, addressing order entry and PO issues, and fielding customer service inquiries to optimize account performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive operational excellence by efficiently managing The Home Depot (THD) daily operations at a national level to optimize account performance and growth.

• Strategically set up new markets in the Quote Center, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with established standards.

• Maintain and update pricing in the Quote Center, guaranteeing accuracy and consistency to support THD's strategic pricing initiatives.

• Elevate local market capabilities by delivering comprehensive training programs to Territory Managers and SRS Order Coordinators assigned to THD operations.

• Provide critical support in managing The Home Depot Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies and alignment with financial objectives.

• Collaborate on large job quotes and special requests within assigned regions, delivering tailored solutions that meet client specifications and business objectives.

• Oversee the maintenance of SPS Commerce purchase order updates, ensuring precise and current transactional data to support supply chain integrity.

• Enhance order processing efficiency by assisting with accurate order entry into Agility, supporting streamlined operations and customer satisfaction.

• Proactively address and resolve purchase order errors and issues with THD stores, fostering strong retailer relationships and operational efficiency.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by expertly fielding and resolving inquiries from THD stores, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.

• Support the THD and SRS sales teams in building relationships.

• Share data and other insights with the supported SRS markets.

• Become expert in each supported THD / SRS market

• Form close partnership with Order Coordinators in supported markets

• Exceed all KPIs and Sales goals.

• Support THD event coordination insuring that all applicable events are attended and fully supported by SRS.

Travel Requirements:

The National Accounts Sales Specialist - THD position requires periodic travel to various Home Depot locations and regional offices to facilitate market setup, conduct training sessions, and manage customer service interactions, ensuring the effective execution of national operations.

Physical Requirements:

The National Accounts Sales Specialist - THD position primarily involves office-based tasks. As such, the incumbent is expected to perform duties requiring prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of standard office equipment such as computers and telephones, and occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in national account management or sales operations, preferably within the retail or home improvement industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise within the building materials industry, with a specific focus on managing national retail accounts.

• Advanced Data Analysis Skills: Proficient in utilizing data analytics tools to drive insights and optimize sales strategies, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

• Technical Proficiency: In-depth experience with Quote Center, SPS Commerce, and Agility, along with the ability to quickly master new software and systems relevant to account management.

• Project Management Certification: Recognized qualifications such as PMP or similar, showcasing the ability to lead complex projects and coordinate between various stakeholders efficiently.

• Proven Leadership Experience: History of training and developing high-performing sales teams or account management staff, with an emphasis on fostering a results-oriented culture.

• Advanced Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with both internal teams and external partners at The Home Depot.

• Conflict Resolution Expertise: Demonstrated ability to navigate and resolve order discrepancies and account issues effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.

• Strategic Account Management Experience: Proven track record in developing and executing strategic account plans that have resulted in increased revenue and strengthened client relationships.

• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to assist in managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals.

• Customer Service Excellence: Commitment to delivering superior customer service, coupled with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Education:

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a plus.

Certifications:

• Adaptability and Learning Agility: Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and learn new processes or systems, particularly in addressing special requests and supporting the training of team members.
