The Assistant Yard Supervisor coordinates the flow of vehicle traffic and manages the activities of transporters and transfer crews to meet operational priorities. They are responsible for ensuring vehicles are staged correctly, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing guidance and training to staff.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles. Preferred qualifications include one to two years of vehicle transport experience and the ability to obtain e-RailSafe clearance.

The general pay range for this position is $25.48 per hour. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market considerations.

Summary
The Assistant Yard Supervisor interfaces with all AWCT associates and management personnel, customer representatives, trucking company representatives, and AWCT office staff. The overall objective of this position is to maintain a safe, efficient, and even flow of traffic in the yard. This position interacts with all associates, all AWCT management, customers and representatives of rail and trucking companies to ensure the smooth flow of vehicle traffic in the yard and to assist the Yard Supervisor in areas deemed necessary.
