Capsa Healthcare is a global leader committed to advancing healthcare through innovative products and solutions. Join a team dedicated to supporting clinicians and healthcare organizations with best-in-class products and services—helping to make a real difference in patient care.
About this Role:
The Implementation Engineer will be responsible for the successful installation and commissioning of Capsa - RoboPharma robotic automation and conveyance systems in pharmacy central fulfillment centers. This role requires a deep understanding of automation technology, strong technical skills, and the ability to manage complex installations. This is a hands-on engineering role at the heart of the installation – configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing automation hardware, PLCs, controls, and software until the system runs the way it should. The ideal candidate is an engineer who genuinely likes to fix things – someone who is drawn to root cause and repair – but who stays focused on schedule and gets the job done.
The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing automation solutions and possess a hybrid of healthcare/pharmacy/technology knowledge and mechanical aptitude. This role is responsible for monitoring teams to ensure onsite installation timelines are being met, processes followed, staying alert for risk, and resolving issues as they arise. The successful contributor for this position must be able to execute standard project management processes, deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the highest quality implementation for our customers.
If you are ready to make a difference and help shape the future of healthcare, apply now!
What You’ll Do:
Lead the hardware installation and commissioning of robotic automation and conveyance systems in central fulfillment centers
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of automation systems
Develop and execute detailed installation plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management
Conduct site assessments to determine installation requirements and ensure readiness
Oversee the setup, calibration, and testing of robotic systems and conveyance equipment
Provide training and support to on-site staff on the operation and maintenance of automation systems
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the installation process
Document installation procedures, configurations, and any modifications made during the project
Create and maintain comprehensive project and process documentation
Report weekly status updates and identify obstacles or concerns that require resolution, communicating all relevant data to internal departments and external vendor partners
Identify areas for improvement in the product(s) and implementation process and recommend changes
Manage all vendor relationships that are associated with delivery of Pharmacy Automation Central Fill equipment
Other duties or special projects as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing automation systems, preferably in the healthcare or pharmacy industry
Knowledge of network protocols, SQL database and technology is required
Strong technical knowledge of robotic automation and conveyance systems
Demonstrated experience in working with Field Services organizations
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Ability to travel and complete an extended onboarding and training program for a minimum of 12 weeks in the Netherlands
Significant travel is required (up to 80%)
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Paid parental leave, paid time off, and paid holidays
401(k) with company match
Company-paid life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance
Voluntary insurance plans, including short-term disability and supplemental coverage
Supportive team culture within an innovative, growth-oriented company
EEO Employer, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities
