The phlebotomist is responsible for the collection and procurement of blood and human specimens in a clinical setting. They must collaborate with clinical teams to ensure patient safety and maintain high-quality laboratory standards.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification from the ASCP. Related work experience is required for this position.
Phlebotomists are responsible for collection and procurement of blood and human specimens in the clinical setting. This role is an important component of patient experience, and the individual is expected to collaborate with clinical counterparts to provide a safe environment that promotes the best possible outcomes.
