POSITION SUMMARY:
This position leads the daily activity and operations for the team. Responsibilities include working with Epic Analysts across the organization to achieve desired results to ensure prompt and accurate issue resolution within the established SLA time frames. Responsible for team performance through regular meetings, ticket monitoring, Q note reviews and actively participating in system upgrades.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages daily work assignments and project schedules to ensure timely delivery of outcomes; interviews and hires staff and facilitates orientation and development; maintains training materials and resources and regularly reviews competencies and provides re-training where applicable.
Coordinates staff schedules and provide direct hands-on support as necessary to maintain productivity standards and outcomes; provides ongoing coaching, education and mentorship, collaborates with other teams and departments to build relationships and serves as a role model to support established initiatives of the department and COPC.
Conducts performance reviews and addresses staffing concerns including conflict management, disciplinary actions and required follow-up.
Works with Epic Analysts across all application teams to maintain record protection settings and to ensure that records are being moved to appropriate environments in a timely manner, while maintaining referential integrity between all Epic environments.
Reviews Q notes to identify organizational impact and escalates potential concerns and issues to management.
Participates in system upgrades and scheduled vendor releases to enhance the application and meet project objectives, including upgrade testing and planning.
Collaborates with application teams to develop departmental standards regarding change control to ensure accurate data tracking and monitors change process by maintaining current protocols.
Monitors deadlines and build for ongoing Epic projects.
Assists with design, development, system configuration, implementation and support of assigned Epic applications for the organization; supports investigation of end users’ preferences and troubleshooting issues while making build decisions and analyzing business operations as they relate to build decision.
Required: Specified Epic Certifications or able to obtain within three (3) months of start date. Required certification includes: EpicCare Ambulatory Certification.
Required: At least one (1) year experience working in a healthcare setting using EHR system (Epic preferred).
Preferred: Epic Certifications include:
Data Courier Administration Certification
Epic Testing Coordinator Certification
Other Epic Certifications that may later be required for the position
Preferred: Prior supervisory experience.

Ability to work additional hours when need arises, including after normal business hours.
