Education required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Internship period: January to June 2027

What will you do?

To develop standardized modules for plant automation and process control that comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

What will you learn?

• Interns will gain an understanding of cGMP requirements and Data Integrity principles specific to the pharmaceutical industry's plant automation

• This role aims to provide exposure to standardize automation and process control standards for both remote manual and full sequence control operations

• Interns will have the opportunity to learn about Kneat, a paperless validation platform

• Hands-on experience with distributed control system (DCS) configuration in the development environment for full sequence and other projects, as well as with validation documentation

• Exposure to migration projects

• Gain site experience on the different types of instrument calibration and troubleshooting together with technicians

• Hands-on experience on the CMX calibration module and SAP maintenance modules

• Analyse the SAP data and optimise the Preventive Maintenance

• Student with basic automation knowledge (DCS/PLC), good problem-solving skills, and a strong interest in working in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

• Strong analytical mindset to troubleshoot simple and complex systems

• Pro-active with high level of independence

• Adaptability to change and working under pressure

• Excellent communication skills that help you influence

• Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity

• Drive and confidence to trust your own judgment
