The Registered Nurse provides professional, individualized care to patients with complex medical and behavioral health needs within a specialized inpatient unit. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing care plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and high-quality patient outcomes.
Candidates must be graduates of a State Board of Nursing approved program and hold a current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Additionally, an AHA BLS-HCP certification is required, along with computer literacy and proficiency in electronic medical records.
The RN
Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
Experience: None.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.
Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records. For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.
