The Dental Assistant supports dentists by preparing operatories, taking x-rays, and maintaining strict infection control standards. They are also responsible for managing dental equipment, maintaining supply inventories, and coordinating patient appointments within school-based clinics.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Dental Assistant Certificate with 1 to 3 years of experience in a dental setting. Proficiency in dental x-ray equipment and Microsoft Office, along with the ability to travel throughout the Bronx, is required.

Under close supervision, the Dental Assistant assists Dentists in performing dental procedures on patients. Key responsibilities include taking and developing x-rays, setting up the operatory with necessary materials and equipment for daily procedures, maintaining detailed logs/inventories, ensuring strict infection control standards, and escorting patients.
*Alternate Work Schedule: This position operates from September through June while school is in session, with prorated compensation to match the academic calendar
