CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Assoc. VP & Head of AI Adoption & Clinical Workforce Enablement is responsible for supporting the enterprise strategy for the evaluation, adoption, governance, and strategic deployment of artificial intelligence across the University of Miami Health System (UHealth). Reporting directly to the CEO of UHealth, the incumbent will strive to position UHealth as the national model for effective AI implementation in healthcare.
The position is responsible for bridging clinical operations, research, innovation, communications, and investment strategy to ensure AI delivers measurable improvements in patient care, clinician experience, operational performance, and institutional growth. The role will establish systems, partnerships, and evaluation methodologies that enable UHealth to move beyond isolated AI pilots towards a scalable, validated enterprise approach that becomes a national benchmark for AI adoption. Focusing on three organizational priorities, the role seeks to: 1) Strengthen UHealth’s ability to attract capital, grants, and strategic investment through a rigorous, publishable AI evaluation and validation framework; 2) Improve physician and clinician recruitment and retention by ensuring AI demonstrably reduces administrative burden and enhances clinical practice; and 3) Elevate patient experience by deploying validated AI solutions that improve access, safety, efficiency, and quality while preserving the patient-clinician relationship.

6. Leads change management efforts that increase trust and confidence in AI tools.
AI Evaluation and Validation
1. Designs and oversees a comprehensive evaluation framework governing every stage of AI implementation.
2. Creates standardized processes for technical review, clinical validation, procurement, implementation, monitoring, and post-deployment assessment and serves as approver/decision-maker on vendor selection within that process before system-wide deployment
3. Collaborates with engineering, clinical informatics, data science, and research teams to ensure methodological rigor.
4. Develops novel evaluation methodologies that can be published and adopted nationally.
