The APRN/PA will manage overall patient care, perform diagnostic tests, and prescribe treatments in an acute inpatient transplant setting. They will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and provide patient education.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Nursing and a valid Florida Advanced Practice RN license. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of related experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Summary
The APRN Inpatient provide a wide range of primary, acute and specialty healthcare services, both autonomously and in partnership with other healthcare professionals, in accordance with State and Federal regulations. These services include managing patient's overall care; prescribing medications and treatments; ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, EKGs and lab work; diagnosing and treating chronic and acute conditions, including injuries, infections, diabetes and high blood pressure; performing invasive procedures; counseling; and educating patients on positive health-promoting lifestyle choices and disease, injury and illness prevention. Incumbent in the job classification may perform unit specific duties based on the specialty.

Unit Specific Competencies: Must have clinical knowledge, skill and ability to fully and accurately complete all required unit competencies, as indicated in the unit competency check-list.
