Requires a high school diploma or GED, with MLA certification or an Associate degree preferred. Candidates should have previous work experience and must complete HeartSaver CPR during orientation.

MLA certification from a nationally recognized credentialing agency (i.e. ASCP or AMT) preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 semester hours of biology and 6 semester hours of chemistry preferred.
Previous work experience strongly preferred.
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality in the handling of patient information. Absolute integrity and accuracy in the patient identification process. Must complete HeartSaver CPR by the end of the orientation period.
