1. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
2. Current BCLS certification
3. Two years experience within the past three years with demonstrated skills and abilities in Acute Care Medicine
4. Knowledge of the current nursing assessment and management of adult medicine patients, including rehabilitative and supportive approaches to patient care in a day unit model
5. Knowledge of the nursing care plan and evidence of ability to utilize problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques
effectively in an acute medicine day unit
6. Demonstrates interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
7. Telemetry training
8. Capable of maintaining a fast paced environment with the ability to set priorities and organize workflow in response to patient and unit needs
9. Proficient in EPIC in an inpatient and outpatient environment
