The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for collecting blood and other specimens while accurately documenting and tracking them for laboratory testing. They also resolve test order discrepancies and maintain clear communication with physicians and clinic personnel.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and possess strong computer skills, including experience with EMR systems. A valid driver's license and the ability to perform venipunctures are required, with 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
