Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 30 semester hours in the sciences and possess a minimum of 3 years of related work experience. A Registered Environmental Health Specialist credential from the Ohio Department of Health is required.

Summit County Public Health is seeking an Environmental Health Coordinator to work full-time (35 hours per week) , Monday through Friday, in our Water Quality Program. This vital role manages daily operations for the Water Quality program, ensuring state compliance through the oversight of private water systems, sewage treatment systems, haulers, contractors, and local stormwater monitoring. The Environmental Health Coordinator drives program success by developing SOPs and training materials, preparing board presentations, and assisting leadership with budgeting, policy, and public outreach.
