The Patient Transporter is responsible for safely escorting and transporting patients throughout the hospital using proper body mechanics. They must also ensure clear communication between central transport and other departments while adhering to all safety protocols.
Candidates are required to have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous patient care experience is preferred but not strictly required.
Sentara is hiring a Patient Transporter
The Patient Transporter safely escorts and transports patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics. Strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara. Communicates clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients. Ensures adequate communication of information between central transport and other departments.
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
