The Ophthalmic Scribe/Technician performs preliminary patient work-ups, measures visual acuity, and assists physicians with examinations and minor procedures. They are also responsible for scribing medical notes, maintaining accurate EMR records, and ensuring clinical areas are clean and stocked.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and strong keyboarding skills with proficiency in EMR systems. While no prior experience is required, certifications such as COA, COT, or OSC are preferred.
