The handler is responsible for screening cargo in compliance with TSA regulations and conducting physical searches using a trained canine. They must also maintain training records and ensure the proper care and maintenance of the assigned canine.
Candidates must have one to two years of experience handling explosive detection dogs and be U.S. citizens. They must also be able to obtain necessary security clearances and possess a valid driver's license with a clean record.
