Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of commercial and military heavy equipment and tactical vehicles. Diagnose defects and replace components in engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
Requires a high school diploma, 3 to 6 years of wheeled equipment maintenance experience, and a valid REAL ID driver's license. Candidates must provide their own OSHA-compliant tools and be able to obtain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust clearance.

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic (HEM) works under the guidance of the Team Lead and Supervisor. The HEM will perform schedule / unscheduled repairs, operate and inspect various types commercial equipment ie…Tractors, Graders, Front loaders, Bulldozers, 10/6K Forklifts, Scraper and Riding lawn mower and Military Contruction Equipment; Also some tactical vehicles and non-tactical equipment ie…Ford, Peterbilt, International and Generators, Heating units, Lift controller, ATVs and Sweepers in order to perform troubleshooting actions and diagnose defects; examine parts for damage or excessive wear; repair or replace parts as required; service, repair, rebuild, overhaul and maintain the aforementioned types of equipment, as well as major assemblies and components of that equipment including engines, transmissions, fuel injection systems, hydraulic systems, ignition systems and electrical systems.
