The officer manages emergency calls by dispatching fire, rescue, and law enforcement personnel while providing pre-arrival medical instructions. Additionally, the Level III position may serve as a trainer or Assistant Shift Supervisor, overseeing quality control and staff scheduling.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in emergency communications. Required certifications include DCJS Basic Dispatching, VCIN/NCIC, CPR, EMD, and NIMS (IS-100, 200, 700) and ICS 300.
