The GIS Analyst will create, manage, and perform quality control of SRP/ITAM GIS data for the Army at Joint Base Langley-Eustis. Responsibilities include conducting fieldwork for ground truthing and developing Military Installation Maps in accordance with Army standards.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as geography or GIS and at least three years of work experience are required. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and be able to pass a federal background check for a Common Access Card.
The GIS Analyst position provides support to Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE), VA. The candidate will create, update, manage, and perform quality control of SRP/ITAM GIS data for the Army. This will include updating and editing the data as needed. The Candidate will conduct fieldwork to ground truth data and support other SRP functions. This may require working in inclement weather such as heat and humidity, or cold and rain. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the GIS data meets all data standards outlined by the Army.
The successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
