The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the daily disassembly, cleaning, and sanitizing of egg processing equipment. This includes managing sanitation chemicals, maintaining records, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Previous food plant sanitation experience and familiarity with GMPs are highly desirable. Candidates must be able to handle chemicals, use high-pressure cleaning equipment, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Summary
The Sanitation Technician is responsible of cleaning and sanitizing the egg processing equipment on a daily basis following the processing shift. The schedule will be working for three days one week and four days the following week-continuing with this rotation. The Sanitation Technician will report to the Processing Supervisor.

Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and water, and chemicals. Temperature is regulated for operations standards. Cooler temperatures occur in specific areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions. Employees are required to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) due to working in a food manufacturing environment (hairnets, clean clothes, etc.).
