Starting Salary Range: $64,717-$84,581 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.
Position Summary: The Manager, Accounting Auxiliary Services oversees the accounting functions of Auxiliary Services. The incumbent plans, directs and coordinates all Auxiliary accounting functions, including bookstore, dining services, and Hiersteiner Child Development Center. This includes proficient use of financial, inventory and other related Auxiliary Services systems, application of accounting principles, and budget assistance to the Executive Director of Auxiliary Service. The Accounting Manager serves as a liaison with Financial Services to ensure Auxiliary Services maintains consistent and accurate reporting that is compliant with JCCC guidelines. This position reports to Executive Director, Auxiliary Services.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
3+ years supervisory experience handling AP, AR and GL required.
Spreadsheet and word processing experience required.

Financial Management:
Provides direction and oversight to Auxiliary Services' accounting departments and financial reporting and related support to the Executive Director.
Establish, review, communicate, and adjust Accounting Department team objectives as needed.
Ensure daily/monthly accounting processes are completed timely, accurately, and consistent with policy/procedures, including: sales activity and deposits balanced and entered, GL entries entered and relevant account reconciliations completed, working capital is maintained and balanced – and special event funds requested, reconciled, and returned, AP items are coded, processed, paid and vendor issues addressed, AR items are coded and processed, student account charges are calculated and communicated, sales tax reporting balanced, prepared, and submitted.
Department/division financial reports, analysis, metrics, etc. (recurrent and ad hoc as defined) are completed timely and accurately for Executive Director.
Physical Inventory:
Provides guidance to Auxiliary Services' inventory processes throughout the year and at year-end inventory.
Review inventory receiving, adjustment, and change processes and procedures throughout the year to assist department leadership ensure accurate on hand inventory quantity and value.
Post inventory monthly and at year end.
Record accruals of any received/returned inventory for which payment/credit has not yet been made at year end.
Assist Executive Director With Annual Budget:
Provide Revenue and Cost of sales budget supporting information timely and accurately.
Properly allocate and project accurately auxiliary resources.
Ongoing reporting, monitoring and analysis for potential management action occurs
Liaison With Financial Services:
Develop and maintain relationships with Financial Services, Business Services, and other departments relevant to Auxiliary Services Accounting Staff understand their impact on other divisions Familiar with processes across departments Recommend improvements to process as needed
Policy & Process Management:
Perform process reviews within Auxiliary departments.
Identify opportunities to consider for improvement.
Test, implement, document, and communicate new processes Auxiliary policy, process, and internal control reviews and documentation are approved by leadership and maintained
Oversight and execution of department policies/processes is consistent and documented Compliance with JCCC requirements, procedures, controls, etc. is monitored and internal processes updated as needed.
