The Coder Physician is responsible for abstracting, coding, and sequencing clinical information from various medical records to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement. They must maintain compliance with regulatory standards while meeting productivity and quality benchmarks.
Candidates must hold a professional coding certification such as CPC or CCS-P and possess at least two to four years of recent production coding experience. Proficiency in Epic, 3M software, and specific knowledge of primary care and professional fee coding guidelines are required.

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
Minimal travel required; up to 5%
Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program and a minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in both acute care and profee.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CCS-P, or equivalent coding credential required.
