About the job:
We’re looking for an experienced Construction Foreperson to join our team in Christchurch!
The role involves:
Leading and supervising a drainage crew.
Planning and coordinating daily site activities.
Installing, repairing, and maintaining stormwater and wastewater infrastructure.
Ensuring all works meet contract, quality, and compliance requirements.
Promoting a strong health and safety culture across the team.
Liaising with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Monitoring productivity, programme delivery, and resource requirements.
Supporting the development and mentoring of team members.
What you’ll need:
Experience supervising crews in civil construction, utilities, infrastructure pr a related industry.
Extensive knowledge of stormwater, wastewater, and civil construction works.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
A commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence working collaboratively with clients, contractors and internal teams.
A Drainlaying qualification, Full Class 1 licence, with Class 2 and WTR endorsements are highly advantageous.
All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
