The lead engineer will manage component environmental qualification projects for nuclear power plants, including performing life assessments and coordinating testing activities. They will also lead project teams in developing specifications, reviewing vendor reports, and implementing automation tools to improve engineering workflows.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and possess at least ten years of relevant nuclear industry experience. Proficiency in nuclear regulatory standards, such as 10CFR 50.49 and IEEE standards, is essential for this role.
This is a senior engineering position that offers a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in component qualification engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity to advance your career. You will collaborate with a team including other component qualification engineers, interface with engineers from other disciplines, and guide the work of less experienced project team members.
You will work with an engineering team on projects for license renewals and upgrades/modifications to nuclear power plants in the following areas:
