Great Lakes Industrial YOUR FIRST CHOICE FOR ENGINEERED SOLUTIONSThe Quality Engineer is an integral position in Great Lakes Industrial as it connects our vendors to our warehouse to our sales team and our customers. The position involves designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing products and materials, and developing quality controls. We expect our quality engineer to be responsive, independent, personable, communicative, and collaborative. As the engineer grows, they will develop long-standing relationships with our customers, vendors, management team, warehouse employees, and inside staff, as well as become an expert in GLI’s internal systems and all roles in the office.

Requirements
A Quality Engineer must have passion for working with our customers, our vendors, and our team to improve our internal and external quality processes, while identifying opportunities to help design and create product and testing to be able to help our internal processes and our customers. He/she must be able to multi-task and be able to change gears quickly and effectively.
As GLI is looking to advance and grow, the Quality Engineer also must be able to adapt to new requirements and see change as a challenge, as a growth opportunity, and not a requirement.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics required
Experience: 0-3+ Years of Quality or Design Engineering-related work
Computer Skills: Excel and Word, CAD software is a plus
Certificates & Licenses (Nice to have): Six-Sigma
