Set up and operate submerged arc seam welding machines to fuse metal pole shafts for steel pole fabrication. Responsibilities include performing general equipment maintenance, moving materials via overhead crane, and recording production data.
Candidates should have welding experience and the ability to obtain AWS SAW certification within 90 days. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, basic shop math, and the ability to lift 50lbs are required.
NOW HIRING: We are looking for a PW7 Submerged Arc Welder to join our Pole Pre-Assembly team in our Transportation & Infrastructure (T&I) Business Unit. The PW7 Submerged Arc Welder responsible for the set-up and operation of a submerged arc seam welding machine to place a continuous weld on one or two sides of pole shafts.

Salary Range: $23.00 - $27.00/hour (non-exempt)

Shift Schedule: 2nd shift Monday – Thursday 3pm – 1am
Shift Differential: 2nd shift - $1.50/hour

Physical Demands (Production Roles):
This position requires the individual to wear and work in company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires that the individual can lift a minimum of 50lbs. And, if applicable, can maneuver large, cumbersome equipment with the use of an overhead crane and/or forklift. Must be able to work in, on, or around equipment and machinery. The employee may need to perform work with the use of ladders.
