At Baxter, we believe every person—regardless of who they are or where they are from—deserves a chance to live a healthy life. It was our founding belief in 1931 and continues to be our guiding principle. We are redefining healthcare delivery to make a greater impact today, tomorrow, and beyond.

Here, you will find more than just a job—you will find purpose and pride.
Your Role at Baxter
The Clinical Outcomes Specialist (COS), supports both hospital customers and the sales organization by providing clinical and product education focused on improving patient care, outcomes, and clinical workflows.
This role requires flexibility, strong collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a field-based environment. The COS works closely with clinical stakeholders and internal sales partners to support product evaluations, implementations, and evidence-based initiatives across the territory.
The territory includes Burlington to Niagara Falls and Guelph to Windsor and may be adjusted as needed to best support customers and the business. The successful candidate must be located within the territory.
Regular travel to hospitals throughout the territory is required (up to approximately 75%), including occasional early morning, evening, or weekend training sessions, conferences, or customer education events.
Your Team
You will report to the Regional Sales Director, Central Canada, and partner closely with the Ontario sales team, Account Managers, Specialists, and cross-functional colleagues. This is a highly collaborative team focused on improving patient outcomes while delivering value to customers through clinical expertise and strong relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide clinical and product education through planned evaluations and implementations, both onsite at hospitals and virtually using appropriate technology.
Collaborate with clinical customers to integrate Baxter products into clinical protocols aimed at reducing adverse patient events such as patient deterioration, falls, and pressure injuries.
Organize, coordinate, and support annual clinical studies with hospital customers, including:
Collecting and analyzing clinical data
Preparing, developing, and delivering PowerPoint presentations summarizing findings and outcomes
Presenting results to key clinical stakeholders, including Professional Practice leaders, Quality teams, Educators, Directors of clinical programs, and Vice Presidents responsible for patient care
Work closely with the Regional Director, Account Managers, Specialists, and other internal partners to support account plans and customer initiatives.
Attend and participate in product presentations, conferences, customer-led education days, and training sessions.
Stay current on healthcare trends, clinical practice standards, and technology relevant to the product portfolio.
Accurately document customer interactions, activities, and study data in Salesforce (or similar CRM systems) to ensure information remains current and actionable.
Travel regularly throughout the territory and occasionally beyond the territory as business needs require.
What You’ll Bring
Required
Registered Nursing designation or Allied Health designation (degree, diploma, or equivalent).
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting (e.g., ICU, Medical/Surgical floors).
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to clinical audiences.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working in a field-based role.
Preferred
Experience working in professional practice, clinical informatics, or as a clinical educator.
Previous medical device or healthcare industry experience.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
