Candidates must have at least a high school diploma and one year of experience in robotics coaching or programming. Proficiency in specific coding languages like Python, C/C++, or LabVIEW is required, along with experience delivering programming to youth aged 11-18.
Job Summary:
Responsible for administering all aspects of a competitive FIRST Lego League or Robotics team, adhering to the guidelines and expectations that are set forth from Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee (BGCGM), FIRST Lego League, and/or FIRST Robotics Competition. In addition to weekly coaching, the Lego/Robotics Coach is responsible for the scheduling of practices and competitions, competition day management, and equipment management. This also includes recruitment and retention of team members and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Club Manager or Area Director. This is a seasonal position lasting between 4-6 months at a time.
