Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Talent will oversee internal and external recruitment, hiring processes, and instructor onboarding. They will also manage training systems and collaborate with format trainers to ensure consistent instructor development.

Role Summary
The Senior Manager, Talent is a new position at B/SPOKE that combines proactive internal and external recruitment, hiring process ownership, training and new instructor onboarding into one role. This position will oversee a group of format trainers that are dedicated to the various modalities that B/SPOKE does, and a group of individuals who will help with the external recruitment and hiring process. The objective with this new position is a few fold:
Connect New Instructor Experience: Seamlessly unify recruitment, the hiring process, training and onboarding experience for new and existing instructors at B/SPOKE to be more consistent across formats and studios.
Increase Internal Growth Opportunities: proactively identify existing talent at B/SPOKE who would be a great fit for other modalities and opportunities, and invite them to explore it. Help team members see the potential we see in them, and support their career growth.
Create External Recruitment Pipeline: attend other studios across the Greater Boston/Cape area to find talent that would make a great fit at B/SPOKE and invite them to apply. Organize events in the community in partnership with the Community and Studio teams to draw in the great fitness instructor community.
What You’ll Do
Instructor Recruitment: You will identify, attract, and engage prospective B/SPOKE instructors across formats and studios. You will develop recruiting strategies, maintain candidate relationships, track talent needs, and build a consistent pipeline of instructors who are aligned with the B/SPOKE standard and ready to support future growth.
Training Systems. You will create and maintain the systems that support instructor training across B/SPOKE. You will establish training cycle structures, maintain resources and tools, document processes, and partner with Format Trainers to ensure each training cycle is organized, consistent, and aligned with the B/SPOKE standard.
Instructor Readiness: You will define and maintain the expectations, benchmarks, and evaluation processes used to determine instructor readiness. You will create clarity around what instructors must demonstrate throughout training and ensure Format Trainers have the tools and expectations needed to assess progress consistently.
Measure & Improve the Instructor Journey. You will collect feedback, review training outcomes, and identify opportunities to continue to improve the incoming instructor journey. You will analyze what is working, where gaps exist, and partner with Quality & Development and Format Trainers to continuously improve recruitment and training process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will work closely with Format Trainers, instructors, and cross-functional partners to ensure training programs reflect both the B/SPOKE standard and format-specific expertise. You will provide the structure, tools, and support needed for format experts to effectively develop incoming instructors.
