PURPOSE
Gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and hands-on project assignments while supporting Builders FirstSource's digital transformation efforts. Work is performed under direct supervision. This internship provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience at the intersection of field operations, technology, and digital product development while helping drive adoption of myBLDR, the company's digital platform.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with various projects in support of the Digital Field Engagement team.
Support initiatives designed to increase adoption and utilization of the myBLDR digital platform.
Conduct outreach and engagement activities with field teams within an assigned market area.
Gather, organize, and analyze user feedback, adoption data, and operational insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
Identify barriers to digital adoption and recommend solutions to improve user experience and engagement.
Translate field feedback into actionable product recommendations and business requirements.
Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning discussions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Digital, IT, Product Management, Sales, and Operations, to support project goals.
Assist with change management initiatives that help drive digital transformation throughout the organization.
Develop and present findings, recommendations, and measurable outcomes at the conclusion of the internship.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management or a related field with a general understanding of business and digital technology.
Open to students at any academic level (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student).
GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
Interest in digital transformation, technology adoption, business operations, and customer engagement.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
