You will develop and maintain production backend services and control frameworks to operate neutral atom quantum computers. This role involves debugging the full control stack and building reliable tooling to support physicists and hardware engineers in their experiments.
Candidates must have 6+ years of backend software engineering experience and a degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Applied Mathematics. Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with C++ or Rust are required, along with a strong background in scientific data pipelines.

We are seeking self-motivated, energetic individuals with exceptional problem-solving and technical skills to help drive our Quantum Computing mission forward.
We build quantum computers. You will write the software that runs them.This is a production-first, high-coding role — roughly 90% of your time will be spent writing and owning code, not reviewing or directing others who do. You will work directly alongside physicists and hardware engineers, converting complex scientific requirements into software that controls real quantum machines. If you are looking to step back from the keyboard, this is not that role.
You willThe targeted salary range for this role is $160,000 to $185,000 on an annualized basis plus eligibility to participate in our annual incentive plan.
