The Patient Representative II / Patient Access Representative serves as a key front-line team member supporting patients, families, providers, and staff. This role is responsible for patient registration, scheduling, admissions support, customer service, and revenue cycle-related activities while maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring a positive patient experience. Candidates who are dependable, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills will be successful in this role.
Primary Responsibilities
Register and schedule patients accurately and efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, providers, and coworkers.
Support patient admissions and front-end revenue cycle functions.
Verify and maintain accurate demographic and insurance information.
Follow organizational policies related to compliance, patient safety, and confidentiality.
Collaborate with team members and clinical staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
Maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
No directly related experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to learn new systems and processes.
Demonstrated customer service experience and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous patient access, registration, scheduling, healthcare administration, or medical office experience.
Experience working directly with patients, families, customers, or clients in a service-focused environment.
Strong computer and data-entry skills.
