Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively identifying and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires continuous monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of critical applications. The engineer collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and performance, swiftly addressing any disruptions that may impact business processes. The position demands a dynamic approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering reliable support in a fast-paced environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to improve system reliability and optimize support processes.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of support activities with business objectives.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery techniques for database systems.
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues effectively.
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards in database management.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
