In the role of Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural design of bespoke software solutions. This position requires guiding teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The role emphasizes establishing and maintaining development standards, ensuring that the software produced is scalable, performs efficiently, and aligns closely with the overarching business goals. Collaboration and leadership are central, as the individual coordinates efforts to meet project milestones and quality expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practices to enhance software quality and team productivity.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and integration within the team.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Quality Management (QM).
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns relevant to custom software development.
- Experience in setting and enforcing coding standards to ensure maintainability and scalability of software products.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts across multiple projects.
- Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and quality assurance processes within software engineering.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in SAP Quality Management (QM).
- This position is based at our Mumbai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
