The Enterprise Architect (MENAT) is a senior architect role with responsibility for design and strategy activities associated with all applications across all domains in Middle East, North Africa & Turkey (MENAT). This roles requires a broad knowledge of multiple domains (including infrastructure, security, data and applications) and IT Industry market trends to ensure that applications have an architectural design that is scalable, stable and meets the future needs of the business.

In this role, you will:

• Support the MENAT Head of Architecture to define and maintain the technology strategy for the region
• Reduce technical debt and align architectural design of portfolio to global strategy
• Establish MENAT Technology roadmap that enables key business drivers
• Business is updated on current/emerging technology trends
• Accountable for overall design & integrity of set of systems/apps to support specific large programmes or projects
• Ensure solution designs are commercially and technical viable
• Creative/Innovative solutions required to challenge legacy application footprint
• Working in a complex global environment and establishing relationships to deliver efficiently and effectively.
• Dealing with ambiguity with regards to reporting lines, roles and responsibilities and funding
• Ability to convert design to complex programmes of work. This will require an understanding of not just technical design but to look at the end-end design from a resourcing, financial and change management prespective.
• Be able to work independently and with minimal direction
• Ability to influence, through strong communication skills a range of stakeholders across senior management, global and peer group in the region
• Ability to self-prioritize and deliver outcomes as agreed with manager.
• Ensure that risk management as per Operational Risk Management Framework is at the heart of all design principles.
• Architect cost components of complex designs through coordination with various stakeholders.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Experience & Qualifications

• Graduation degree is REQUIRED– to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
• Knowledge of either Retail or Commercial Banking Technology is preferred
• Strategic mindset with the ability to initiate, architect lead large scale programmes with value of $10+ million
• Knowledge of multiple IT domains (data, infrastructure, cybersecurity and applications) with advanced knowledge in any one area
• At least 10+ years of architecture experience or strong technical project management with knowledge of architectural approaches to application rationalization, infrastructure consolidation and information management.
• At least 10+ years of experience in Global organization is mandatory.
• Exceptional written and verbal skills are required with experience in preparing and updating Board/C-level updates.
• Demonstratable experience in defining end-end technology strategy and roadmaps.
• Knowledgeable in emerging industry trends such as microservices, open banking, API’s and AI.
• Strong project management skills with demonstratable experience in delivering end-end architecturally complex projects.
• Cloud architect certification (Microsoft, Google or Amazon) is desirable
