We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of (Job title).

Principal responsibilities

The job holder must be familiar with payment systems and procedures of insurance business services and operations, including branches business, with understanding of their inter-relationship.The job holder is also required to act independently, exercise broad discretion with minimum guidance and instruction and make proactive and objective recommendations for his/her superior or other functional heads for necessary actions.

The role will hold most or all of these responsibilities:

• Ensure effective process efficiency and sufficient control of overall payment checker team and undertake other duties as may be required
• Maintain high quality service standard expected of the HSBC brand in order to foster long lasting relationships
• Continuous to support Life Operating systems improvement (eg. initiative by using Gen AI, Robotic support, etc), procedures review and processes streamlining
• Engage and provide support for China Market related activities
• Responsible for reviewing operation’s quality performance. Assist to provide recommendation on quality improvement / process streamline / control enhancement initiatives when appropriate. Adhering to Quality Control Governance
• Analyse and recommend actions to improve the performance through case review, approval and quality check
• Engage in Operation Training Mechanism design and improve the efficiency of operational trainings
• The job holder is expected to help guide other colleagues in the team and make suggestions based on their knowledge and experience. Ongoing need to seek and implement efficiency improvements and enhancements to the conformance processes and procedures
• Ability to build rapport and engender trust
• Strong decision making, negotiation and consultative skills
• Ability to coach, mentor and drive performance of teams

Requirements

The job holder is to work with Business and all stakeholder to help delivering department KPI, team performance, personal performance by:

Operational

• Support Accounts Payable activities (internal query/ large amount transaction approval) including vendor invoice payment and staff reimbursement payment
• Support FIN requests where there is any interaction with R2P processes.
• Invoice/PO and payment issue investigation/problem solving.
• Support Procurement Operation process transformation.
• Provide invoice/PO/payment report for process performance oversight.
• R2P Process training
• Local system change implementation
• Using a combination of processing and Finance knowledge to ensure that process reviews deliver maximum benefit and practical.
• Making appropriate use of coordination skills (communication, presentation and influencing skills) to draw out issues from staff and line managers and submit proposal of recommendations.

Risk management and governance

• Assess and manage ongoing risk controls and monitoring of payment process across insurance entities.
• Act as a point for escalation for any R2P related issues
• AP contractor performance management
• Management of operation system access control for outsource part.
• Third party service provider KPI tracking and performance management
• Support Internal/external Audit and regulatory inspection for R2P related requests.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
