Job Summary
Perform installation, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems in construction and industrial settings. Ensure safe, efficient operation through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and component fabrication.

Main Duties
Install, assemble, align and commission industrial machinery, equipment and related components.
Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on rotating equipment, conveyors, pumps and compressors.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults using diagnostic tools and techniques and implement corrective actions.
Fabricate, modify and replace parts using welding, fitting, machining and precision measuring instruments.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals to plan and execute work.
Operate lifting and rigging equipment to dismantle and move heavy machinery and support installations safely.
Requirements
Completion of a millwright or industrial mechanic apprenticeship, trade diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Several years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
Proficiency with welding, fitting, machining, hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems and diagnostic procedures.
Physically able to perform manual tasks, work in confined spaces or at heights, and willing to complete required safety training.
