The Activities Assistant provides recreational and activity services to patients with substance abuse, psychiatric, or emotional disorders to help them develop interpersonal skills and confidence. They execute medically approved programs and document patient responses to support the overall treatment plan.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with CPR and De-escalation certifications obtained within 30 days of hire. Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with chemical dependency or geriatric patients is preferred.
